Grades VI-VII at Doon Global School, Dehradun

Ab raaste khud khojenge.

Imagine your child noticing a school problem, building a solution with friends and explaining what they changed after it failed. Pathfinders makes “I wonder…” the start of a learning journey, not the end of a classroom question.

First, a stronger classroom

For Every Child

Pathfinders is the new way Grades VI and VII learn, and the block excludes nobody. Inside it, an optional flagship batch goes deeper: a lighthouse, not a wall.

Concepts you can use

Every VI-VII learner gets science investigations and maths labs each fortnight, plus feedback and another try. No selection for the core class; no public rankings.

Five skills for the real world

The five skills

What the Five Skills Look Like at VI-VII

Every learner gets tasters and term modules. Kit-based and risk-checked, and never a purchase for the family.

AI & Mechatronics

Code-it-build-it: block coding, then circuits, sensors and kit robots. Hands before screens at this age; one built artefact per term.

Financial Literacy

Needs and wants, money diaries, a banking visit, and a market-day stall with a budget and a simple profit-and-loss.

Culinary Skills

Kitchen safety and nutrition first, with a no-fire start; dishes logged; one community cook.

Foreign Language

One language, with conversational comfort through games, songs and food days; no exam framing.

Thinking Skills

Weekly platform challenges in patterns, logic and verbal reasoning.

Activities and roles

A Club Worth Belonging To

Three students reading together on a bench

Twelve activities, at least two each

The planned menu, adapted to the school calendar: storytelling fest · spell bee · junior science fair · robotics challenge · market day · cooking day · language and culture fest · heritage walk · inter-house sports · art and craft expo · young-speakers assembly · eco and gardening drive. Every child takes part in at least two; backstage and maker roles count fully.

Every child an ambassador

Each learner picks one role: new-student buddy · assembly demo presenter · showcase host · platform challenge lead · house correspondent. Roles rotate each term, and recognition is for all. Universal by design, personal by choice.
